She was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland where her parents discovered her talents for drawing and painting at the early age of 3 years old.  As a child she always liked to paint, draw, doodle and have craft night with her mother every chance she got.  She became interested in fashion design around the age of 9 years due to watching her older sister draw fashions in her sketch book.  While developing her fashion illustration and design skills/techniques, she continued to study fine arts in highschool and work on a fine arts portfolio along with snippets of fashion designs for college interviews.

She moved to NY in 2001 and studied at Parsons school of design from 2001-05.  She graduated in May of 2005  and got her first out of college job working as an assistant designer for Beyonce Knowles new line called the ‘House of Dereon’.  She designed numerous pieces based off of inspirational boards created by Tina Knowles and the creative director.  She designed womens ready to wear pieces, knits, wovens, dresses, skirts, tops and bottoms. While designing for the ‘House of Dereon’ line she was able to travel overseas to Hong Kong and Mainland China where her and the design director reviewed and fit samples, over-looked production and sourced trims and fabrics.  She also traveled to Las Vegas for MAGIC and Los Angeles, California for additional business purposes.  Currently she is working as a design assistant for a major company located in NYC.
